At Ryefield, we want your children to have the best experiences and opportunities available to them. In short, we want to provide them with the best education, which is broad, balanced and provides them with enriching and enduring experiences.
Over recent years, the school has started the process of embedding a reading culture across the school. This has involved a variety of initiatives such as:

All pupils received a book for Christmas.
A reciprocal reading scheme introduced across KS1 and KS2
Refurbished KS1 library
Book Sheds on the school playground to enable pupils to read at break time.
Pupils able to take one book per term home from the book shed; they are allowed to keep the book forever.
A book shed for parents located at the front of the school. If parents want a book - all they have to do is take a book!
